It is my pleasure to support Quintillion Subsea Operations’ Rural Utilities Service ReConnect application to extend fiber optic infrastructure down the Aleutian Chain of Alaska.
Quintillion’s plan to connect the Aleutian Chain with a high-speed, reliable and affordable fiber optic network will greatly improve the well-being and quality of life of southwest Alaskans. At present, internet service on the Aleutian Chain is slow and cost-prohibitive. Quintillion’s proposed network, in partnership with local access providers, will provide cost-effective internet service, creating new opportunities for entertainment and e-commerce, improved connectivity for businesses, education and health care, while also connecting people and ultimately creating jobs.
I fully support Quintillion’s RUS ReConnect application and believe their fiber optic network will offer immense value to the community.
